Overview

Hakkasan Nightclub at the MGM Grand features more than just dancing – this 80,000 square foot, five level club combines an award-winning Cantonese restaurant and a lavish lounge/nightclub. The club’s architecture is a mixture of Eastern and Western design, with lush décor highlighting the venue’s indoor and outdoor bars. Ranked in the Top 50 Vegas Nightclubs by Tripadvisor reviewers, Hakkasan open its doors in 2013 with a star-studded bash featuring DJ deadmau5 and Grammy winner Miguel. Open Thursday through Sunday nights. Cover price varies; different prices for men and women.

Nightclub

The main club, located on the fourth level, is a neon-ringed wonderland with a DJ platform at the entrance and a performance stage suspended above the dance floor. Floor to ceiling LED screens light up the main floor. VIP booths surround the always packed main floor, and bottle service is available via reservation. A guest list is available for select events. DJs

Resident DJs include Tiësto, who has received kudos from Rolling Stone. Mixmag and MTV. At the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, he won an award for Video of the Year with Rhianna for “We Found Love.” Calvin Harris, Hakkasan’s other resident DJ, first hit the scene in 2006with a gold album “I Created Disco” and has received many awards since then, including Best Short Form Music Video from MTV in 2013.

Entertainment

Hakkasan Nightclub features performances by the top stars in electronic music. Guest DJs and music acts include Afrojack, Jeff Retro, Eva Shaw, Laidback Luke, Above and Beyond, Bingo Players, Dada Life and Michael Woods. Upcoming artists and established names like Quest Love and Rev Run perform in the smaller Ling Ling Club. Order early because many shows sell out in advance. “Hakkasan Thursdays”, a special event for service industry professionals, is held weekly, with various entertainers.

Lounge Areas

The quiet Ling Ling Lounge offers cocktails and conversation on the third floor, along with the bustling 10,000 square foot Ling Ling Club and its roster of featured DJs and entertainers. The Garden Bar, outdoors next to the main dance floor, features waterscapes and abundant foliage.

Restaurant

The first floor dining area is swathed in blue light and ambient music, separating guests from the noisy club in a lush space known as “The Cage.” Chef Ho Chee Boon and his staff prepare Michelin-rated dishes including Spicy Prawn, Peking Duck and Grilled Waygu Beef. An extensive wine list and handcrafted cocktails complete the dining experience. There’s a private dining area on the second floor for special events and intimate dinners.
